Privacy Policy
SalesPond Group ("we", "us") runs five businesses: SalesPond, DataList, Podiem, Ironbark Ventures and Pixel Events. This policy covers personal information collected through spgroup.au. Each business has its own site, and its own privacy policy applies there.
The laws we follow
We comply with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Because we work across Asia Pacific, North America and Europe, we also apply the requirements of the privacy laws in the places we operate, including the EU and UK General Data Protection Regulation, the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020, Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act, the Philippine Data Privacy Act, Malaysia's Personal Data Protection Act, Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information, Hong Kong's Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance, and applicable US state laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act. Where they differ, we follow the stricter standard.
What we collect on this site
| When | What |
|---|---|
| You send the contact form | First and last name, email address, and optionally your company, phone number and message |
| You book a call | First and last name, email address, optionally your company, and the time you chose |
| You visit the site | Standard technical data kept by our host, such as IP address, browser and pages requested. If you accept analytics cookies, also usage data about how you move through the site |
We collect this directly from you. We do not buy or scrape personal information through this site.
How we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and arrange the call you booked
- To work out which of our businesses can help, and pass your enquiry to that team inside the group
- To understand, in aggregate, how the site is used so we can improve it, only if you accept analytics cookies
- To send you occasional insight on B2B pipeline, only if you tick the box that asks for it. That box is unticked by default
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not disclose it outside SalesPond Group except to the service providers below or where the law requires it.
Who processes it for us
| Provider | Purpose | Location |
|---|---|---|
| HubSpot | Stores enquiries and bookings, manages our calendars and email | HubSpot's Asia Pacific data centre |
| Vercel | Hosts this website | Global edge network; the United States |
| Google Analytics | Site usage statistics, only after you accept | The United States |
| Google Fonts | Serves the typefaces this site uses | Global |
Some of these providers store or process information outside Australia. Where that happens we rely on the provider's contractual and technical safeguards, and for European and UK visitors on the Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent lawful transfer mechanism.
Cookies
This site sets no cookies until you choose. If you accept analytics, Google Analytics sets its own cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier) to count visits and distinguish returning visitors. If you decline, none are set. Your choice is remembered in your browser's local storage, not a cookie.
You can change your mind at any time using Cookie settings, which also appears in the footer of every page.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry and booking records for as long as they are needed to deal with your enquiry and any relationship that follows, and then for up to seven years to meet our legal and accounting obligations, after which we delete or de-identify them. You can ask us to delete your information sooner; see below.
How we protect it
Information you send through this site travels over an encrypted connection and is stored with HubSpot rather than on our web servers. Access inside the group is limited to the people who need it to respond to you. No system is completely secure, but we review our providers and our own practices to keep the risk low.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what personal information we hold about you and give you a copy
- Correct information that is wrong or out of date
- Delete your information, where we are not required to keep it
- Stop sending you marketing. Every marketing email also has an unsubscribe link
- Withdraw any consent you have given
If the GDPR applies to you, you also have the rights to restrict or object to processing and to data portability. We will respond to requests within 30 days. We may need to confirm your identity before we act on a request, so we do not disclose your information to someone else.
